Signature Programs at St. John

STEM Classes

Weekly STEM classes are offered to students in grades Kindergarten through Eighth Grade.  STEM education creates critical thinkers and future innovators. Clare Hoerl, STEM and Art teacher challenges and guides students to work together to create, design, and bring to life workable solutions. Collaboration with teachers provides STEM projects and topics that are integrated with the current curriculum providing relevance, significance, and perspective to students.

Technology Integrated Curriculum

Our Technology Program ensures our graduates are technically proficient and well-prepared for High School and beyond. Our technology integration instructor, Emily Coackley collaborates with teachers to provide students tools, resources, and hands-on experience with tools such as Google and Microsoft portfolio of products, website design, and coding for all grades. 

1:1 iPad Program

1:1 iPad & Chromebook Program

All students in grades 4 through 8 at St. John School have access to 1:1 Chromebook use in all their classes on a regular basis. Work in class and at home is completed on Google and Microsoft programs. Educational apps are integrated throughout student coursework.  (Ie. homework completed via Google Docs, in-class presentations via Microsoft Powerpoint,etc.)

iPads are available for use in elementary grades as well.

Art Classes

Clare Hoerl, Art teacher, actively engages students in all grades to produce beautiful works of art, visible throughout the school!

Student Advocacy Team

St. John School is happy to be able to offer a Student Advocacy Team (SAT) to help support the success of students.  This interdisciplinary group of school personnel are available to the classroom teachers for the advocacy of our students’ academic, social, emotional, and behavioral well-being.  Support services must be obtained from outside the school.  The SAT coordinates and communicates with outside services and providers.
